Da queste parti abbiamo di tutto, ed in abbondanza: alimentari, pub, farmacie, negozi d'abbigliamento, autoricambi, accessori per pc, pasticcerie, gelaterie, pizzerie, è proprio il centro del mondo.

L'unico parcheggio consentito, oltre che possibile, è la doppia fila, basta che sia etica e duri pochi minuti.

Tu però fidati sempre dei vicoletti, dell'umidità del Lungotevere, delle Ipa che sanno d'acqua del radiatore e degli alcolici di supermercato di bassa fascia serviti in bicchierini di cioccolato industriale, perché i caffé letterari esistono per ubriacarsi a poco e rimorchiare dandosi un tono chiamandole "Degustazioni".

Se le persone le rinchiudi in un carcere a cielo aperto, gli stai semplicemente ordinando di non aver percezione della vastità delle loro sbarre, non di emanciparsi e migliorare l'ambiente loro circostante, specialmente se la promessa di una vita dignitosa non può dartela uno Stato elemosinante e assente ma la criminalità organizzata in determinati luoghi.

Nel mondo si cerca di uscire dalle carceri, a Roma si fa di tutto per entrarci, ma solo perché certe carceri sono molto meglio del mondo là fuori.

A volte si può perdere la strada, si finisce lontani e non si trova il senso delle cose; non sempre un viaggio porta un insegnamento, ma questo non vuol dire che bisogna smettere di cercarne, sia di viaggi che di insegnamenti.

Anche perchè se le cose vanno come devono andare, un premio ce lo meritiamo ogni tanto, ma attento a ciò che vuoi perché potresti anche ottenerlo: una carezza da una mano callosa, il dolce più buono del mondo scaduto da un mese, una spiaggia d'incantevole sabbia bianca decolorata dalle sostanze chimiche, il mondo è tuo se solo lo vuoi.

Chissà se è più amaro un posto in cui non puoi più tornare perché è cambiato, o un ricordo in cui non puoi più tornare perché non solo sei cambiato tu ma anche tutte le persone che ne facevano parte.

Non è detto che il prezzo di qualcosa equivalga al suo valore, o viceversa.

In the world we try to get out of prisons, in Rome we're willing to walk that extra mile just to get a one-way ticket in, only because some prisons are way better than the outside world.

Sometimes you can stray from the path, you wander off, you get far away and can't see things clearly no more; journeys don't always end with lessons, but that's not an excuse to stop our inner search, for both, journeys and lessons.

If things go their way, we'll deserve a treat from time to time, but careful what you wish for 'cause you might just get it: a caress from a calloused hand, the best cake in the world that expired a month ago, a wonderful lido bleached by chemicals. The world is yours, but only if you want it.
