Lovdahl, Ian Gotta say, I freakin love that album art. High quality mallsoft with a penchant for airy atmospheres and uncanny nervousness. Favorite track: When Did I Get in a Mall.

Emerson Dameron Standard mallsoft elements assembled with a eerie sadness of its own that keeps haunting you long after it's over. The droning synth ambience basks in the dark shadows of the usual repurposed muzak. Evocative of being alone in a crowd and the sensation of old memories slipping just out of reach. Favorite track: Shopping with a Ghost.

daccrowell Mmm-hmm! With this album, Uncle Squiddz delivers on "immersive" in the same sort of way that "Palm Mall" did, but perhaps takes it one step further (or deeper!). The usual easy listening aspect of mallsoft is missing here, replaced by a very effective, all-absorbing ambient undertow that captures the mall feel without 100% relying on the typical mall ambiance tropes. The 1960s cover art says it all: open spaces, a minimal crowd of happy consumers, strange floating lights...yeah... Favorite track: When Did I Get in a Mall.

I can't even explain this release...it has blown my mind into pieces. The only two genres I really collect on tape are Truck Driving Honky Tonk and Vaporwave so I feel like this was a glitch in the matrix or I'm having a really vivid dream right now. This is hands down the best release that has ever been released and will ever be released out of any genre. I'm not even being sarcastic...this is gold to me. mountaindewhoo
